The Slumber Party

When pigs (in a blanket) fly, they're heading to the Slumber Party. This recipe is a test-kitchen favorite, and we're confident you'll feel the same way about these little Pepperoni Dog nuggets that are packed with mozzarella and brushed with garlic butter. 

What You Need:

  • 3 Pepperoni Brooklyn Hot Dogs cut into 4-5 pieces each
  • 1 package of pizza dough, thawed
  • ½ cup flour for dough rolling
  • Rolling pin
  • ½ lb low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons of melted butter
  • ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese 
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • A few sprigs of parsley, chopped 
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 9 inch circular baking pan
  • 1 cup of marinara dipping sauce

      What You Do:

      1. Preheat oven to 375ºF

      2. Cut pizza dough into 2" x 4" rectangles

      3. Place a hefty pinch of mozzarella on dough rectangle


      4. Put hot dog piece on cheese and wrap pizza dough around the filling, pinching edges closed


      5. Repeat for remaining dogs and mozzarella cheese

      6. Spray cooking spray on pan

      7. Place in a baking dish seam side down, arranging in circular pattern, with 2 in the center

      8. Brush with melted butter and top with some parmesan

      9. Bake for 20 mins, or until golden brown


      10. Add parmesan, garlic, and chopped parsley to melted butter, and stir

      11. Brush tops with garlic butter mixture, and serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping
